The Malaysian Students’ Society is targeted primarily at Malaysian students studying in University of Wales, Bangor (UWB). However, MSS is also open to all students and non-students within the community in Bangor. It is hoped that MSS will give the opportunity for all students from different countries and backgrounds to discover Malaysia’s culture, and what better way to learn than to be in the company of Malaysians?
MSS hopes to bring the students together so that they will be able to become friends in the United Kingdom. Leaving home to study in a foreign country is never an easy experience and as such being in the company of friends is indeed a prime factor that helps everyone go through such an experience. MSS offers advantage by allowing seniors helping the juniors – for those new and unfamiliar with the UK. MSS endeavor to provide the avenue and the opportunity for its members to contribute, share and learn.
Objectives:
- To seek and assist current and new members (open to all nationalities) wherever possible through our networks and initiatives
- To adapt to a multi-cultural community within this campus as well the local community by fostering the understanding between Malaysian students and the rest of the community through academic and non- academic activities
