Annual General Meeting 2010 & BBQ

On the 4th of April 2010, an annual general meeting & barbecue party has been handled at the house of Mr. Suffian. The party was held to honour the stepping down of 2009/10 committee members and the appointment of the new 2010/11 committee members.

The main course of the day (barbecue chicken) were sponsored by the society. While other foods and drinks were brought in by members of the society (potluck).

The meeting started at 2:30pm with attendance of almost all society members. Society advisor, Dr. Aziz bin Jaafar commenced the ceremony with a welcoming speech and a prayer recital. Attendees then were invited to have buffet style lunch.

After lunch, society president of 2009/10, Mr. Husni addressed the party with the stepping down of previous committee members. They are as follows:

• President: Mr. Husni 
• Vice President: Mr. Ponnusaamy
• Secretary: Ms. Aimi
• Treasurer: Ms. Nadiah

He then announced the newly elected committee members. They are as follows:

• President: Mr. Azhar bin Mohamad
• Vice President: Mr. Azrul Amri bin Jamal
• Secretary: Mrs. Tengku Fara Kamilia
• Treasurer: Ms. Siti Wan Aminah

The general meeting continued with a speech from the newly elected president. He expressed his hopes and call the whole society to be together in order to make Bangor a suitable and happy place to live and study.

The official meeting ended and continued with unofficial society members chit chat.... (until midnight?)
